Brownie & Chocolate Mousse Trifle

Posted on | February 27, 2011 | by Jennifer | 3 Comments

This one goes out to Whitney and Deb – they saw a pic of this chocolate trifle on my Facebook page and requested the recipe. This is the easiest dessert I’ve ever made, but one of the best and the presentation gets a lot of attention! I’ve made this brownie, chocolate mousse, and whip cream layered trifle several times. It feeds a lot of people, perfect for a pot luck or shower, and they all ask for the recipe... (more...)

Cheater’s Chocolate Mousse

I often make this for a pie filling, but I love it as a dessert on it’s own. Cheater’s Chocolate Mousse Servings: 10 Ingredients 1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream 1 cup milk 1 (5.9 oz) box instant chocolate pudiing 1/4t vanilla 1/4t... (more...)

Garlic Bread

Enjoy! xoxo, Lauren Garlic Bread Servings: 8-10 Ingredients 1 large loaf of... (more...)

Mousse and Turtle Pie

Hey Jennifer, Ok, so I know the title makes this sound like something you would find in a forest, but it’s not anything like it sounds. It’s basically a turtle pie made with mousse instead of pudding. Well sort of. I always loved those turtle candies with the pecans caramel and chocolate and they always make me think of mom. So turtle pie is just a spin off of that candy. I made it super easy with lost of short cuts... (more...)

Christmas Inspired Pesto and Sun Dried Tomato Dip

Posted on | December 13, 2010 | by Jennifer | 2 Comments

Hey Lauren, I was invited to a Christmas party this weekend so instead of bringing over an everyday appetizer, I wanted to make something that was inspired by Christmas colors. The layers of green pesto and sun dried tomato spread are so festive, and both flavors are toned down by the layer of garlic and shallot cream cheese. It was a big hit at the party! Mom was looking for an appetizer recipe for her neighborhood holiday party,... (more...)
