Shrimp and Orzo Pasta Salad

So thanks to Pam for introducing me to this recipe! I don’t remember my life before it! I knew I was in love when I asked for a “to go” plate from the baby shower. By the next day my quart sized “to go” container was G-O-N-E! I think I want Ina Garten to be my best friend. I picture lots of breezy summer afternoons in the Hamptons with us giggling over some sort of fruity drink and exchanging fried... (more...)

Cheater’s Chocolate Mousse

I often make this for a pie filling, but I love it as a dessert on it’s own. It’s really great with fruit on top like raspberries, or even used in a recipe for a trifle like the one that you love to make! Try it out, it’s a super shortcut for a fancy result! Cheater’s Chocolate Mousse Servings: 10 Ingredients 1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream 1 cup milk 1 (5.9 oz) box instant chocolate pudiing 1/4t vanilla 1/4t... (more...)

Lasagna

Hey Jennifer, I tossed together a lasagna for dinner tonight and it was gooey, saucy, cheesy, meaty, melty and DELICIOUS! I have tried a lot of other lasagna recipes and took all the things I love from them and made my own. You should try it as soon as you can. This is a great recipe to make on the weekend because it does take a bit of time but is well worth it! Yum Yum gimme some! xoxo, Lauren Lasagna Servings: 8-10 Ingredients 2... (more...)

Garlic Bread

Hey Jennifer, I could eat garlic bread all day long, so I made this recipe with extra garlic, extra butter all on a big fluffy hunk of bread! There’s nothing like a big crusty chunk of garlic bread to dip in my favorite soups or stews or to sop up a really saucy Italian dish. I just wouldn’t recommend enjoying this on a date night ha ha! Enjoy! xoxo, Lauren Garlic Bread Servings: 8-10 Ingredients 1 large loaf of... (more...)

Mousse and Turtle Pie

Posted on | December 20, 2010 | by Lauren | No Comments

Hey Jennifer, Ok, so I know the title makes this sound like something you would find in a forest, but it’s not anything like it sounds. It’s basically a turtle pie made with mousse instead of pudding. Well sort of. I always loved those turtle candies with the pecans caramel and chocolate and they always make me think of mom. So turtle pie is just a spin off of that candy. I made it super easy with lost of short cuts... (more...)
